I'm Matt Chapman.
Life insurance touched my life before I really even knew what it was. When I was 22 my father passed away after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. In our home he was the breadwinner. My mom was a stay at home Mom. As I graduated college to start my professional career my immediate family was at a massive crossroad. Fortunately through financial planning and life insurance our lives were able to stay as stable as possible with the loss of my father. We were able to focus on our grief, celebrate the life of my father, and focus on our healing without having to worry about the financial burden.
I have since done the same for my family and I hope to be able to do the same for yours in honor of my father!
Common questions
Straight answers
What is final expense insurance?
It is a smaller whole life policy meant to cover funeral and burial costs, outstanding medical bills, and other end-of-life expenses, so your family isn't left to pay them out of pocket.
How much does a funeral cost?
Costs vary widely by location and the type of service, and they are often several thousand dollars or more. We can help you pick an amount that fits your wishes and your budget.
Do I need a medical exam?
Many final expense policies do not require an exam and are issued with a short set of health questions. What is available depends on your age and health.
Is there a waiting period?
Some policies pay a reduced benefit if death occurs from natural causes in the first couple of years. We will explain exactly how the policy you are considering works before you decide.
Can I still qualify with health problems?
Often there are options, since carriers treat health conditions differently. Being honest on the application is important so your family can collect the benefit when needed.
